Attorney Focused Design: A website in which the attorney or attorneys are featured prominently in the design. A smiling and welcoming picture can help personalize your site and help connect with prospective clients.
Conceptual Designs: These are designs that make you stop and take a second look, since it is not always obvious that you are on a legal website. Instead these designs represent a concept or a vision - freedom, a new beginning, new direction, etc..
Geographic Designs: These are websites that make a geographic location prominent in the design. These can be pictures of a city skyline or a known landmark like a mountain or monument.
Legal Themed Designs: With these sites there is usually no question that you are on a legal website. Common legal images include; Columns, Courthouses, Gavels, Lady Justice, Scales of Justice, Courtrooms, etc...
Office Focused Designs: For business attorneys, showing a professional image is paramount in terms of building credibility. These designs showcase, usually through flash, images of their office space. These designs can also help project a certain image. for example pictures of the staff wearing casual dress in the office may project "approachable" and a less buttoned down atmosphere...
People Focused Designs: Less common in business law as opposed to the more consumer dominated areas of law. You will see these designs a lot in estate planning focused sites - images of people.
Practice Related Designs: Common among niche business sites like construction law, these sites use practice related imagery (construction worker or crane) to draw attention to the site's focus.
Symbolic Design: These sites use a singular image to represent the firm or a value of the firm.
